Half-way home...

JUNE 8, 2018

Bowing to farmworker and consumer pressure, Wendy’s declares intention to bring tomato purchases back to U.S. “by the end of the year” in surprise announcement at annual shareholder meeting in Dublin, Ohio!

Company stops short, however, of joining award-winning Fair Food Program, instead shifts purchases to greenhouse operations outside the FFP and professes blind faith in failed third-party audits…

JOIN US ON JUNE 5 AT WENDY'S ANNUAL SHAREHOLDER MEETING PROTEST IN OHIO!

Join scores of farmworker women, men and their allies for a major protest outside of Wendy's annual shareholder meeting... #BoycottWendys

We will gather on the sidewalk outside Wendy's HQ (1 Dave Thomas Blvd, Dublin, OH) at 9 a.m. to lift up farmworkers' human rights and denounce the fast-food chain's sham supplier Code of Conduct — which executives would mislead you to believe is strong enough to combat the widely-documented gross human rights abuses in their supplier of choice, the Mexican produce industry. RSVP here

We're available to help provide overnight housing for those wishing to come to Columbus. Get in touch with us today at organize@allianceforfairfood.org if you plan to join us or if you have any questions regarding our mobilization efforts around the shareholder meeting.
