People of Faith Pledge of Solidarity with the Coalition of Immokalee Workers

As Ruth pledged to Naomi, we pledge our presence and prayers from the fields of Immokalee to the streets of New York. We are with you, supporting the Wendy’s boycott and urging Wendy’s investors to bring Wendy’s into the Fair Food Program without delay.  

This challenge of expanding the human rights we’ve already won has been laid before us.  And so we pledge to see this new chapter of liberty, dignity, and respect through to its conclusion.  We join our hands and our hearts with yours to hasten that soon-coming day when suffering is no longer a part of the food we eat and human rights the plumbline from the fields to the boardrooms of this nation.
